Notes for Hobbits in Gondor

Fadragor is a young hobbit in the beginning, but he
becomes the wise old scientist in the course of time.

The young hobbits are sent to the East of Mordor to clean
out Orcs which involves poisoning wells. Two young hobbits
spy on separate poisoned wells and see orcesses and young
orcs come down to drink. One hobbit warns them and the other
doesn't. They discuss it later and decide that the orcs
should not be poisoned and should have been warned. However,
there is no sense of guilt or guilt ploys.

The well-poisoning issue is taken up with the king, and
the hobbits are over-awed into co-operation, but some of
them continue to sabotage the project and the eventual
departure of the hobbits from Gondor is over this issue.

Young Fadragor is not suited for spying, perhaps he is injured
by orcs whom he warns. Left around the castle at Gondor, he
gets acquainted with the dwarves and systematizes and makes
scientific their knowledge of magic. The zone refining of
ringgold requires that the gold be plated thickly on a steel
or mithril rod that is kept in torsion. Besides the thaumaturgical
separator, we need a thaumaturgical amplifier.

Expedition to the Crack of Doom. Perhaps there should be a
rock climbing story here analogous to the Yosemite crack of
doom.
Maybe the solution to the amplifier problem should be found there.

Appreciation of the "railroad" between the Shire and Gondor. What
should it be?

Flight if invented should be low and slow and quiet but require
frequent stops.
Its magical fuel runs out and is restored by contact with the earth.

As the Shire becomes politically important, the other lands are
tempted to fight with it. The hobbits want to avoid all fighting,
but they see that neither appearing weak nor appearing strong
will do it. They decide they will have to fight someone, and they
decide to make it extremely unpleasant to fight with them.
Namely, if you want to fight with the hobbits you must do it
at night, in swamps and caves and burrows, and in foul weather.
Skirmishes with the hobbits are long, boring, tiring, and the
food gives you diarrhea.
